Woody is a 14h black new forest gelding. He is 9 yrs old and has no vices at all. He is the friendliest pony in the world! He always has a nicker or whinny for whoever approachs :)
He is easy to do, he will live in or out alone or in company. He will stand tied all day for grooming and a fuss. He is easy to tack up and doesn't pull faces or fidget when being girthed. He is good to bath/clip/load/catch....everything!
Never sick or sorry.
Woody has been out of work over the winter as my children lost interest. Over the last week or so he has hacked out a couple of times and been in the school twice, once with a lead rein beginner rider and once with a confident novice. He was put through his paces and the worst thing he done was jog a little to start and toss his head a bit ;) He was a bit forward going in canter but didn't bomb off or anything he was just keen! He easily came back to trot when he was asked.
Woody has been ridden by complete beginners and experienced riders. He has been used on the lead rein and his previous owner to me was a complete novice adult rider. I would say though that as he has been out of work he would benefit from some schooling before he was a complete novice ride again. He is a good all round fun pony.
He works in a lovely natural outline and really loves to jump. He is well schooled although a little rusty and he does flying changes at the push of a button.
He does make a noise when in hard work but his doesnt effect him at all and is only really noticeable when he is unfit (which he currently is!)
He is priced low to reflect the fact that he is currently unfit and his price will go up as his work load increases. £1000 with tack and rugs
